Final Farewell

Hi 3ST!

Today marks your final day in Year 3! How quickly the time has flown. It has definitely been our most challenging and different year at school to date. However, I can honestly say that I have enjoyed every minute of it. It has been a joy to be your teacher this year and you will never be forgotten. Not because you were my class during Covid, but because each and every one of you have brought a smile to my face and a warmness to my heart. I am so excited for you to be going into the next chapter of your school journey at Cragside. You are so ready for Year 4, so go and embrace it. I will really look forward to seeing you around school in September. Have a wonderful summer holiday.

Lots of warm hugs, now and always!

We will be trying this is school today also, so let us know how you get on!

Midweek catch up.

Hi 3ST! Half way through the final week.

Hope you are having a great time learning from home this week. It has been another fun week in school, we have been learning a lot about carnivals. Yesterday, we designed our own masks and we have decorated our classroom in paper decorations.

We haven’t received many photos this week, but we did love looking at the photos sent from Jonah and Gil. It looks like you two boys have had lots of fun making some wonderful things at home.

This week for our bedtime story, we will read a lovely book with Mrs Hetherington. It is called Jack and the Flum Flum Tree.

We have another special story from your new teacher.

Enjoy your final week in Year 3!

Lots of warm hugs

Monday morning assembly.

Hi 3ST! Hope you have had a lovely weekend and you’re ready for our final topic this year.

To kick start the week, we have the joy of attending an assembly with Mrs Howells.

The theme for this assembly is all about fears, and how to face them.

Can you explain to a family member the lessons you have learnt?

Community challenge.

This week it’s Miss Frobisher’s turn to do the Community Challenge! Linked to our Carnival Week, and to celebrate ‘Cragside: Together and Apart’, we are going to revive The Chiming Tree in Paddy Freeman’s by the pond. The Friends of Paddy Freeman’s has agreed that we can decorate the tree.

Check out the document below as to how you get involved. If we work together, the tree can become magical again.
